Best Cafes to Work in Tallinn

We have so many cafes in Tallinn that finding the perfect place to work is not always simple—nice coffee, reliable wifi, and a serene atmosphere are not everywhere! Whether you're a freelancer, student, or remote worker, we've created a list of the best cafes in Tallinn (or at least, our favourites as for now) that not only offer a delightful coffee and food experience, but also provide an ideal environment for focused work.

Caffeine

Caffeine is perfect for those looking for a quiet space with all the perks of a cafe. Wi-Fi is fast and always working (no, you won’t be kicked out from your Zoom calls) and the coffee is really good!

This chain of cafes has become a go-to for individuals both working or studying. The Ravala and Tatari locations, in particular, are our favourite ones - you can always find a comfortable seat to have breakfast or lunch. Other locations instead, like Viru, might be more suitable for chill time with family and friends.

Swissotel - Horisont Bar

For those who appreciate a touch of luxury in their work environment, Horisont Bar might be your choice for the day. The Horisont bar location not only offers a nice workspace option but also provides a breathtaking view to accompany your tasks. It’s on the 30th floor!

While the coffee is delightful, be aware that the seating might not be much comfortable to work for a long time.

Literaat & Rahva Raamat

Combining the love for literature with a cozy ambiance, Literaat (in Telliskivi) /Rahva Raamat (in Old Town and Viru Keskus) are not typical cafes. You can immerse yourself in your work surrounded by books and even take a look around once you’re done.

The pastries are really good (trust me on the Poppyseeds one!), and the option to purchase a book adds a unique charm to this workspace. Expect a tranquil atmosphere, as many like-minded individuals frequent this establishment for work or study.

Must Puudel

Must Puudel is the go-to spot for those seeking an easy-going atmosphere with excellent food options. I think this cafe is not only a great place to work but also perfect for live meetings.

The diverse menu, including vegan and gluten-free options, caters to various dietary preferences. The creative decor (you will see) and central location make it an ideal choice for those in the heart of the city.

Reval Cafe

As part of a well-known chain, also Reval Cafe maintains a consistent reputation for providing a cozy workspace, especially for lunch time. With multiple locations in Tallinn, the Ravala (the prettiest) and Parnu Mnt (in the city centre) ones are usually our choices. Reval offers a variety of items for lunch, so you might want to visit for a midday meeting or to enjoy something by yourself.

We are very lucky - Tallinn offers a diverse choice of cafes that provide wifi, a comfortable sofa and great coffee, ensuring that your work experience is not only productive but also enjoyable. Now you are not forced to go to the office if you’re tired of working from home!
