Where to Donate Clothes and Items in Tallinn

Your beloved jeans no longer fit, or your little one has outgrown their entire wardrobe at lightning speed? Well, that’s great news – you can bring positive change in the city of Tallinn at no cost and with great ease.

In Tallinn, you have numerous options to donate your used items to second-hand shops that actively support various organisations and causes through their sales.

Uuskasutuskeskus

This non-profit organisation’s objective is to put used things back in circulation and to make re-use and re-design easily accessible and commonplace for everyone in Estonia.

If you have things that are still usable, clean and in good condition, but you just don’t need them anymore, you can donate them to their shops. They accept anything that is in good condition, such as clothes, furniture, crockery, toys, books, shoes, accessories, hobby items, music/films, plants, household appliances and much more.

If you would like to donate large items such as furniture or household appliances, they will send their van to collect them! This service is free of charge within the city borders (Tallinn, Tartu, Paide or Pärnu) if they think the item can be sold.

Find here their website for more info!

Sõbralt Sõbrale

They are accepting items that are clean and in good condition – things you’d feel comfortable and confident giving to a friend! You can bring your donations to the nearest Sõbralt Sõbrale location to you.

Every purchase made in their 16 shops kickstarts a circle of Caring Together – your giving will help them to support children and families in need as well as provide mental health support to young people, and help them foster healthy family relationships.

Not only do they have physical locations, but they also offer an e-shop, featuring accessories, clothing for men, women, and kids, books, toys, and more.

Humana

A chain of shops contributing to global development projects, Humana's goal is to raise funds through the trade of second-hand goods. They welcome clean and dry clothes, shoes, home textiles, accessories, and reusable toys. However, broken, dirty, damp, strong-smelling, or unusable items, as well as appliances, dishes, books, and household waste, are not accepted. You can conveniently drop your donations in their containers located throughout the city; remember to seal them in a bag to avoid any mess.

Always keep in mind that, most of the times, our clothes and items can find a new family, due to their good conditions! Think about how fast kids grow up or how quickly we get tired of our clothes - even if we wore them 6 times only :)

Moreover, donating your items in a nice gesture for the planet and for those in need, as you will support various causes and non-profit organisations with your altruistic act! It’s very simple and the city of Tallinn provides various ways and collection points, to allow everyone to do good.
